Wintercheck Factory has recently released a pair of futuristic looking, construction site inspired shades. The “Lizzie” sunglasses are the latest in a line of innovative products from the brand that include a scarf with pockets (awesome for storing gloves), and a storage unit that doubles as a table/seat. This accessory is a good look for both yourself and your bank account, retailing at a mere $45. You might even want to grab more than just a single pair since there's multiple color schemes available (lenses come in both smoke grey and pistachio green while the leg ends can be blue, red, orange or yellow).  Purchase comes with one of two original carrying cases.

Grammy award winning producer, Jack Splash is finally set to release his first album from the other side of the booth. The first track off The King Of Beats: Volume 1 was a spicy joint featuring Philly songstress Jazmine Sullivan and Missy Elliot. The newest offering from Splash, “.38 Special” highlights the soulful crooning of  Cee-Lo whose vibe is more reminiscent of his Goodie Mob days than those of the dangermouse collaborations.

Back by popular demand, the Roots Jam Session is gearing up for its sixth annual event, taking place on January 30th in Hollywood. The event, which is clearly being curated by the Grammy-nominated hip-hop outfit The Roots, sees guest performers coming through and lending their talents to a Roots jam session, with past performers like Snoop Dogg, Queen Latifah, Matisyahu and Fall Out Boy holding their own with the legendary Roots crew. Though there aren’t any concrete performers as of yet, the event is already shaping up to be a collaborative effort, with a logo design contest being offered for fans to channel their creativity into an official emblem for the jam (follow @RootsJamSession on Twitter for more details). Head over to the official event website for more info, and get ready for another year of jammy goodness from hip-hop’s most vivacious crew.
