Takashi Murakami is an intriguing artist and host of the “Art Dojo FM” radio show.  In celebration of the 40th anniversary of the show's home station Tokyo FM, the on air veterans recruited Casio to cook up this fly translucent red wrist wear with a blend of Murakami's own art stylings.  The classic “Frogman” style G-shock watch bares Takashi's signature on the strap plus his flower design on the item's underbelly and package face.  A mini pillow can be found thrown in the box covered in the flower image as an added touch.  The collaboration timepiece is expected to drop on September 11th, 2010.  Only the 300 quickest G-Shock hunters will be able to claim this exclusive product.

After bearing gifts to places like Bogota, Barcelona and New York City last year, the street artist known simply as Blu strikes again.  This time he orchestrated a colossal mural in the streets of Warsaw, Poland.  The larger than life artwork depicts a war inspired scene compiled of a cartoonish band of armed soldiers and bombs falling from the sky.  This newest mural from Blu could potentially be part of a larger project that the painter intends to unleash but we'll just have to wait until more details can be uncovered.  Blu who hails from Italy, will be showing off some new creations at Nuart 2010 which is the 10th annual installment of the Stavenger, Norway hosted art festival.  So far however, nothing about his contribution to Warsaw indicates a tie in to his involvement at the festival.

With a plethora of viral videos making their way through our ethernet cables on a daily basis, it has to be said that for many skateboarding and other extreme sports clips are a favorite.  Add that adrenaline smack to a well constructed storyboard and visually enticing camera work, you've got yourself a helluva cool ride to watch.  This short reel titled Burn – Ride directed by Garth Davis is exactly that.  Spanning a little under four minutes, the film starring Steve Berra begins with some personal insight via narrator Luis Tolentino.  Afterwards the Queens, New York skater by way of the Dominican Republic travels with a pack of what appear to be ghost riders, navigating Mexico City terrains during a dusk till dawn joyride with their backs a blaze.  Impressive stunt work is executed by Mexican skaters Jesus Gonzalez, Angel Santiago, Mario Saenz, Eder Martinez and the aforementioned Americans Berra and Tolentino.  Ride is one of three short films in the Burn Ignite Campaign for the Burn energy beverage.  You can watch Peep Show, a film about an all girl snowboarding squad here and catch the poetry of Lyrical God here in the flick Playground.

The follow up to his buzzworthy “Nikes On My Feet” and “La La La La” videos, “Kool Aid and Frozen Pizza” (directed by Ian Wolfson) has us kickin' it with Mac on a chill summer day.  In his latest video he spits about going from an everyday kid to one that aspires for more than an average lifestyle, with undeniable stoner talk amidst his lingo.  The young MC from Pittsburgh seems to show off more grammatical skills with each song he releases.  Keep watch on Miller as he has just inked a deal with Rostrum Records and looks to drop his debut LP in early 2011.  For an earlier fix catch the 18 year old's K.I.D.S.  mixtape due out august 13th.
