Greg Polisseni and Andy Hilfiger took over NYFW on Saturday night, February 11th, at The Jane Hotel with the ARTISTIX Harvest collection. The collection embodied military and uniform chic, while balancing the perfect relatable edge.
“Harvest represents the time of year where all your handwork pays off and benefits your body and soul,” said Greg Polisseni, artist and owner of ARTISTIX.
“Personally, Harvest is a symbol for the circle of life and I believe that’s exactly what we portrayed through our collection.”
The 19 looks presented were each inspired by Polisseni’s original paintings, Harvest. The color scheme resembled autumn in New York with the use of burnt umbers and vibrant maroons.
Famed fashion icon Tommy Hilfiger was in attendance. He was quoted saying the collection is, “fantastic.” Additionally noting that the presentation was “off the hook.”
“We are so excited for the future of this collection,” said Andy Hilfiger, Creative Director of ARTISTIX and brother of Tommy Hilfiger.
“Greg and I really love three things, art, soul and rock ’n’ roll, and that’s what the brand is about.”
The presentation included two stages and a high intensity environment which kicked off with classic rock blaring from the speakers. The collection’s style featured a finger-wave hairstyle, provided by Maximo at Fire Fly, and a natural makeup that included highlights and sparkle, provided by Nu Evolution Cosmetics. Other event sponsors included Effen Vodka, Tickle Water, Spirichill Jewelry, and PM/AM Agency. Shoes were sponsored by Vince Camuto and Dr. Martens.
While ARTISTIX Spring collection is currently being sold in Lord & Taylor, the Harvest collection is set to hit a variety of stores in the Fall of 2017.
